Mentally Strong
Keep going, it's going to be okay!
Veronika Vroharis, a 44-year-old from Sydney, Australia, grew up in Peakhurst with an average, non-athletic childhood. Her fitness journey began at age 35 when she started going to the gym to improve her health. A year later, she experienced a grand mal seizure, which led to her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS). Instead of letting the diagnosis define her, Veronika used it as motivation to commit even more to her fitness journey.
Her passion for powerlifting grew, leading her to win both state and national championships. However, as her MS symptoms intensified three years ago—causing balance issues, spasticity, fatigue, and gait problems—she faced new challenges. With the support of her partner Scott, a physiotherapist, she continued to train and compete.
Recently, she took on a new challenge by competing in a bikini physique competition. Despite facing a severe MS episode during the final competition, she persevered and completed it with Scott's support. This experience introduced her to the NeuFit system, a neuromuscular recovery tool that brought her rapid improvements. Inspired by its effectiveness, she and Scott invested in one for their clinic to support others with MS in their recovery journeys.
Veronika's story is one of resilience, determination, and the pursuit of strength in the face of adversity. She hopes to inspire others with MS—or anyone facing physical limitations—to see their potential and push past perceived limits.
